Two Philadelphia Girls Vanished Within Days Of Each Other: Police

Philadelphia police are urgently seeking the public's help to find two teenage girls who vanished in separate incidents last week.

Byata Jahmeela Matthews, 16, was last seen on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. near the 2500 block of North 28th Street, authorities said. Byata is described as 5’1”, 138 pounds, with brown eyes and black, shoulder-length straight hair. She was last seen wearing a pink and white jacket with black pants and is known to frequent the area of 20th and Susquehanna Avenue.

Kamiyah Bryant, 14, was last seen earlier that week, on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at 4 p.m., near the 300 block of East Tulpehocken Street, police said. Kamiyah is described as 5’3”, 160 pounds, with a light brown complexion, brown eyes, and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and grey, white, and purple sneakers.

Anyone with information on Byata’s whereabouts is urged to contact Central Detectives at 215-686-3093, while tips on Kamiyah’s location should be directed to Northwest Detectives at 215-686-3353.
